Location / Property: Casa Careyes is located in the exclusive residential community of Northview Estates. This community located on the select east end of Culebra was created approximately twenty years ago and contains forty one properties all with a minimum size requirement of five acres. It is rare to see more than a handful of boats in this beautiful stretch of quiet water.  There is a legal community dock (125 ft length) that is a very rare find on Culebra. This is the only dock on the whole east end of Culebra. It is perfect for dinghy or small boat and there is an exceptional protected mooring area for larger boats just a few hundred feet off the dock.  The 6.8 acre property of Casa Careyes is located adjacent to this small, private, and quiet setting of the community dock.  There is a trail from the residence to the dock approx 200 meters in length. This is the closest property in the community to the dock and offers the only easy walk able access and an excellent visible observation point of your watercraft from the residence.  Finally, Casa Careyes features a storage building at the foot of the property approx fifty yards from the actual dock.

Manglar Bay is quiet, calm and secretly contains a treasure chest full of magnificent natural resources.  There is excellent Tarpon fishing at the closed end of the Bay which is surrounded by majestic mangroves and at the bay’s entrance there are sand flats that will have you enjoying some fine Bone fishing. The large Green turtles and the smaller Hawksbill also use this secluded bay for their quiet resting area and it is not uncommon to see different species of Rays some up to six feet gliding along the bottom.  Outside the entrance to this small bay from January- March watch for the Humpback whales as they make their traditional runs thru the Caribbean.  From the small dock you are just twenty minutes to Culebrita and some great fishing for Sierra, King, Mahi Mahi, or Tuna. If snorkeling or diving is your pleasure you are perfectly located to enjoy many great locations within a few minutes by boat. Manglar Bay is also an perfect location for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, kite sailing and windsurfing.  If  birding is your passion? You can enjoy the many varieties of seabirds from our acrobatic diving Pelicans to the soaring beauty of the visiting  Ospreys. The sheer pristine nature of this special area of Culebra will capture your spirit and enhance your appreciation for what is truly important in life.
